Five members of the European Parliament (MEP) hosted the launch of an Interest Group on Integrative Medicine and Health at an online event on December 7. The Interest Group will provide a forum for discussion and action with all stakeholders regarding traditional, complementary, and integrative medicine and health. It will also raise awareness of integrative medicine and its contribution to more sustainable health care systems in the EU.
IVAA President Dr Thomas Breitkreuz was a speaker at the event and warmly congratulated the MEPs to their initiative. The secretariat for the Interest Group is being provided by EUROCAM, the EU representation of patients, physicians, practitioners, and veterinarians for traditional, complementary and integrative medicine. IVAA is a member of EUROCAM.
